            During this meeting, my conversation partner and I mostly talked about the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). I found out that he has already planned to take this test twice. My conversation partner plans to stay at CIES until he first takes the test on the 30^th of this month in Tampa. Then, he will go back to his country for two months where he will take the IELTS again a month later. He said that he would only take this test two times because he does not have enough money to take it a third time. Because of this, I wonder how much the test was, so I asked him. I found out that the IELTS cost $250. This led me to my next question: how many selections are on the test? I found out that there are four selections: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. After a bit of math, I realized that each selection of the IELTS cost $62.50. Above all, I learned that the IELTS is really expensive because not only does a person have to pay for the test, they also have to pay for transportation to get to the test.
