Ebru CO #1

May 04 2015 my foundation level classroom observation:
Class begun instructor’s greeting to the students and she asked how their weekends were. She wrote agenda on the board; (Be, new words, spelling simple present tense, negative form). At the beginning of the class she check student’s homework and correct their errors.

She was very cheerful to the students and her teaching technic was fascinated me very much. She was very energetic which was very effective in increasing students’ participation. The most intriguing part of her class was that she prepared a bowl of sticks. Sticks were grouped in two colors that stick in one group had just verbs written on them and the sticks in the other group had the rest of simple sentence written on them. Students chose two sticks from the bowl and could easily construct a sentence. In addition to that she was trying to infer students’ grammatical errors when they asked a question, and repeated their questions in correct grammatical form. At the end of the class, she wrote examples on the board and practice with the students.
