Alexandria CP #1

Today I met with my conversation partner Alhanouf Alnahid. We decided to meet up at her house, and I was surprised with the sweets that she made me! It was all super delicious, and I even got to try Arabic coffee. I asked her how she heard about the conversation program, and she said that she got the information from her school. She decided that she wanted to practice her English more, and I told her I was excited to help! We talked about the sweets she made, and I got to learn more about her culture. She even told me that she has an Instagram dedicated to sweets, and loves cooking. After that we then got to know each other a bit more, and asked one another questions on what we like to do in our spare time, and what our hobbies were. It was great talking to her, and I could really tell that she wanted to practice her English because she told me a story about how she tried to people on the street to practice.  She really likes Florida compared to Tennessee, and that it was boring over there. She moved in about three months ago, and hasn't been around Tallahassee as much, but has visit some places like Cascade park. She walks around Tallahassee, and likes to go on adventures. I was excited when she told me that because I was more than welcome to show her around Tallahassee as much as I could! We made plans to hang out this Saturday as well, and I look forward to seeing her again!
