Alexandria TS #16
This afternoon, I met with Abdullah for our last tutoring session. I started off by thanking him for getting in touch with me when he was back in town. It would have been much harder for me if he didn't contact me. After our short discussion we talked about a personal statement that he had to write for entering a university. I gave him some tips on how to stand out as a person, and to basically sell yourself as much as you can. Then I asked him about any critical incidents that he had. Abdullah did not understood what that meant. I gave him the explain of Professor Kim's story. He asked me if I had a critical incident, and I told him that I did not. He could not think of one, but found it fascinating that things like that happen. In the end, Abdullah was a great person to tutor and I enjoyed tutoring him. If time permits, I plan on helping him out more in the near future.
