Miles TS#4

Wednesday May 20, 2015 - Today was my first tutoring session with Joseph Ilboudo. We treated this meeting as an introduction and improvised diagnostic session. I learned a lot about Joseph during this first meeting that would benefit my instruction in future sessions. Joseph is from Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa, and is a level 1 CIES student. Today we met at the Starbucks located on Tennessee St. near CIES to discuss what areas of English we need to focus on and to get acquainted with one another. Joseph wanted help with his speaking and listening skills, so we decided that those areas would be our focus in upcoming tutoring sessions. He has been living in Tallahassee for about 8 months, but is planning of moving to NYC towards the end of June.
