I observed  Alexandria's tutoring session with Dalal at CIES. She wanted help her writing a letter to the GRE about changing her intended major. I enjoyed seeing the interaction between Alexandria and Dalal, She would let her write out what she thought was correct and from there correct the small mistakes she may have made. Dalal wanted to be polite in the letter, she was afraid that the way she would express herself in her culture could come across rude. I enjoyed seeing how she cared about how language and culture mix.  After the completion of the letter, Dalal wanted to work on reading and Alexandria had two articles prepared for her to read.  She used linguistic support and covered vocabulary words in the articles before reading the full articles. It was a very complete lesson. It was a very good tutoring session and I enjoyed observing it.
