Lane CO #3

My third classroom observation session followed immediately after my second. This one took place in a listening class, which I was curious about after having observed a speaking class. This listening class had less new lessons to teach me as an aspiring teacher, but rather it confirmed some things and enlightened others that I had been thinking about in the speaking class. For example, although it's difficult to articulate the differences here, I felt like this class showed me more clearly what problem areas there are for CIES students in conversation work (speaking and listening together, that is). This class also gave me a lot of ideas for listening class lesson plans, which was particularly enlightening and interesting after going into this class not even knowing or being able to conceive what a listening class would be like.
