Stephanie_TS#14

On Monday, I met Nayun at the public library. We read a few books about Disney princesses and Cars. She is always very excited to draw, so I like to talk to her and ask her questions while she draws so that I can reward her with drawing time while practicing English at the same time. She was drawing castles and telling me how she would like to live in one if she was a princess. I asked her what she would do if she was a princess and she said that she would throw a lot of parties for the community and wear beautiful dresses. Nayun has been a great tuttee, it is always an interesting time with her. We also worked on a worksheet that her mom sent her in her backpack which focused on feelings. There was a short article about what feelings are and what those emotions look like. We drew a few faces of people being sad, angry, happy, etc. and I explained to her what each of those meant. We joked around and made a few faces together to make it fun. The worksheet also had a few comprehension questions that she answered correctly. I've definitely seen an improvement in Nayun's English over the past couple of months, and I know she will be speaking English fluently in no time.
