I observed Marily Sohan's listening class.
She started to her lesson collecting the handouts from the last class. After she introduced to the topic ,she asked students to read topic and then she talked about difference between mobile-phone and cell-phone.She asked questions about the topic, closed caption and some singular and plural forms of the words, such as life and lives. After this, she gave information about the listening passage and had students to read comprehension questions.She told students what they needed to answer when students were answering to questions.She read the passage 3 times and then students listened to the passage.She explained that it was important to take notes while listening. Since she needed to asses the students whether they understood the main idea and supporting details or not ,she emphasized that students did not need to write every words but to use their words to answer the comprehension questions in a simple way.She ended the lesson by informing them that they are going to have quiz at next class.
