Today was my last tutoring session with Ahmed. Unfortunately, Mohammed was unable to attend. For the last session we finished the episode of Leverage. After the episode we discussed the vocabulary and idioms that he didn't understand, such as "the cat that ate the canary" and "to work under" someone. Then Ahmed and I looked up master's programs for hearing disabilities. Ahmed said that he would love to stay in Tallahassee but is also willing to go elsewhere within Florida. We tried to find the ILDES and TOEFL scores necessary for acceptance, but the websites didn't have those posted anywhere that we could find. As a whole I really enjoyed tutoring Ahmed. I was able to teach him English while learning so much about is culture.
