Kyle CP #6

Today was my last conversation partner session, but it certainly won't be the last time I hang out with Ebru and Colleen. It has been a great couple of weeks getting to know them and I jokingly told them today that I've never had more fun hanging out with people that I'm required to hang out with. Today we started off by simply asking how each other's day was, going pretty in-depth to each situation. Ebru excels at her conversation as always. She told Colleen and I about her first day today in class teaching Turkish to third grade students and how she had such a great experience. One of the funniest parts of our conversation was when Ebru was explaining how she sang a song to all of her students and held up different fingers to distinguish between different characters in the song. At one point she held up her middle fingers to the class and sang the song, essentially giving the bird to all the little third graders in class, not knowing that that gesture is not acceptable in our culture! She means well, I'm glad we all got to laugh about it. We made plans to all get margaritas together because Ebru said she has never had one before and we all have to get together before Colleen moves to Colorado and before I move back to Tampa.
