Kane TS#9

My first adult tutee session took place with Kwon. Kwon is from Korea and is attending CIES to improve his speaking and listening skills in order to complete post doctorate work. Kwon is different then most students that attend CIES because he is not going to take the TOEFL. When I asked Kwon what he wanted me to focus on the most when tutoring him he told me speaking and pronunciation. The first session I wanted to get to know him so we spent a good time talking to each other and getting to know each other. We went over some grammar rules he had just learned and was having trouble with. I told Kwon that if he ever needed help or had questions that he could text me and I would get back to him as soon as possible. The first session with my adult tutee went well and I am looking forward to the next session when I can teach Kwon something new!
