This past weekend I met up Kouanda for our last conversation partner meeting. Although we will probably keep in touch with each other, Kouanda will most likely be assigned a new conversation partner through CIES. I picked Kouanda up from his apartment and we drove back to my house. We picked out a classic American movie, “Jurassic Park”. Kouanda really enjoyed seeing this movie for the first time. It is an older movie but we were still able to enjoy it. After the movie we talked a little about other classic American movies that he could watch. I gave him “Young Guns” and “Rambo” to borrow. Hopefully he will like those movies as much as I do. If not, they will at least give him a glimpse of classic American films. It was nice getting to know Kouanda these past couple weeks and learning about Burkina Faso. Hopefully we will keep in touch!
