Alexandria TS #9

Today I met with Dalal at CIES. It had been some time since the last time I saw her. I asked her if she wanted to work on anything today, before we started reading. She wanted me to help her write a letter to the GRE. It was tough not telling her what to write. She would come up her her own words, and I would fix it for her. Dalal wanted to be polite in the letter as well, and I through that it was really thoughtful of her. We managed to come up with a polite closing thanking the person that was reading the letter. I then had her read two articles, and asked her questions about the article. For example, what was the main idea and purpose of the article. I think she had great answers to my questions, and that she really enjoyed reading both articles. I realized that she does not struggle with short reading, and that longer reading is what we will focus next time. Perhaps I will find books online, and try to read a chapter a day.
