Alexandria TS #12
Yesterday, June 3, I met with Badah and Hesham. The both of them were very tired when they came in for tutoring because they had just finish playing soccer. I was happy that they still decided to show up, and I promised them that we wouldn't do a lot because they were tired. I had them read an article called "Fox makes a big sandwich." I first played the audio, which they thought was silly. We then quickly went through the vocabulary, and I read the article to them again. I asked them what it was about, and why they thought it was written. They gave me a quick summary on it, and thought that it was written to entertain the audience. They both enjoyed reading the silly article. Then I had them read passage called "Hollywood: Its life and times." We went over what they knew about Hollywood before we started reading it. Once I was done reading it, I asked them if they understood anything. Since they were tired, they couldn't focus. So I divide the reading, and had them focus on just the beginning which was easier for them. When we finished with that, we just talked about how there day was, and who won the soccer game. They told me their team had won, and that they had a great time.
