            During this meeting, I learned a bit more about my conversation partner’s family and his culture. My partner hangs out with his cousins everyday after school. Since they all live near each other, his cousins will come to his place. They will watch a movie, play cards, or play videogames on his PlayStation. I also learned that my partner has twelve brothers and three sisters, and that he is the fifth oldest. As for his culture, my partner told me about a custom involving hot coffee and hot tea. When a person has company over, it is custom to serve hot coffee to their guests first. Then, the person will serve hot tea to their guests when the guests have finished drinking the hot coffee. He also told me about dates, which is a type of fruit that is eaten with the hot coffee. There are many different types of dates, and they come in different colors. However, no matter the color, all of them are sweet.
