Thursday night I met with Hamoud at the Black Dog cafe. I had asked him previously if he wanted to meet at the Black Dog since we usually either meet at All Saints Cafe or our homes. He told me he had never been to Black Dog, so we decided to meet there. It's always fun hanging out with Hamoud.
We talked about our upcoming trips this summer. He is going to Kuwait, and I am going to Colorado. He told me about his cousin's new baby and his family and we talked about my Muslim friend who is getting married today. We talked a bit about everything. When we got to talking about art, it took me a while to explain to him what printmaking is and what prints and editions are. Though I am sure he appreciated learning about this technique of art making and new vocabulary words. We always have new vocab terms, which is always fun trying to explain.
